Google is about to release a new Gemini model

Sources say that Google plans to announce a new Gemini model at its annual I/O conference on Tuesday. I’m told the release will land roughly in the class of OpenAI’s recent GPT-5.5. and well short of Anthropic’s Mythos, which, despite not being widely available, has reset how every lab talks about what “leading” means.
