Google Home rolls out more Gemini voice updates for music, notes, more

Google Home has launched another set of updates for its new Gemini voice experience, addressing pain points in media playback and playlists, notes, and more.

Detailed on Google’s ongoing changelog, the latest batch of Gemini for Home improvements will focus on media & playlist support, notes & lists, better overall understanding, and parental controls.

Starting with media, Google is addressing a long-time pain point with selecting playlists for playback through its voice assistant. Google says Gemini is now better at figuring out what playlist you want even if you don’t say it exactly right. Other “music misunderstandings” should also be improved, such as errors around incorrect artists.
