The first big update (version 5.01) to the Google Health app is beginning to roll out with 16 additions and fixes to improve on the initial redesign.
Google has released some patch updates since last month, but today’s update is the first big version increment. Officially, this is the “first of many improvements to come.” Version 5.01 is not yet widely available on Android or iOS. This joins the roadmap Google shared last week and has been updating.
The upgrades and updates are grouped into four categories:
Nutrition Upgrades
- Custom Foods: You can now view and log previously-created custom foods. Adding new custom foods is coming soon.
- Macronutrient Goal Guidance: Added explanations and guidance for setting macronutrient goals.
