CRYSTAL BAY, Nev. – Google co-founder and multi-billionaire Sergey Brin has reportedly bought the high-dollar Crystal Bay lakefront property known as Crystal Pointe.
Put on the market in 2017 for $75 million, the highest price listing at Lake Tahoe at the time, the estate was listed again in October for $43 million.
Brin purchased it for $42 million.
The lakefront property spans over five acres with manicured gardens, waterfalls, over 500 feet of lake frontage, and a deep water pier with two boat lifts. The 16,232 square feet of living space has eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and a theater.
What makes the property unique is its hillside tram with two glass cars on tracks, providing access to and from the main house and a separate lakefront house. Fossil floors and silk wallpaper are just a couple of the custom, rare features found throughout the estate.
The sale closed in early December.
