Google has acquired Crusoe’s data-center site in southeast Wyoming, completing the developer’s exit from a project where the Alphabet unit plans a $17 billion investment.

Crusoe disclosed the acquisition in a Nov. 6 statement, saying its work on site selection, government approvals and power planning was complete. The company didn’t disclose a purchase price. Google’s $17 billion figure represents its planned long-term investment in the development.

The transaction follows a change in development partners earlier this year. Crusoe said in June it had paused work at a customer’s request. Black Hills, the utility arranging electricity supplies, said on June 10 that Crusoe was no longer the development partner and that the project itself was continuing.

Bloomberg previously reported that Google had raised concerns about costs and the construction schedule under Crusoe’s management.
