Google and Beale Infrastructure announced Wednesday that construction is underway on a 506-acre data center campus in unincorporated Tulsa County near Cherokee Industrial Park.
The project will expand Google’s Oklahoma infrastructure while also bringing investments in the local power grid, water systems, workforce training and community programs.
The Project Will Bring New Energy Infrastructure
The campus will be powered by Public Service Company of Oklahoma, with Beale Infrastructure funding construction of a new on-site substation.
Google said the utility upgrades will strengthen energy reliability and grid stability across the region while providing additional capacity for the data center and other regional power needs.
Google said it has signed more than 15 agreements since 2011 supporting the development of more than 2.5 gigawatts of new power generation and storage projects in Oklahoma.
