Oracle Database@AWS (ODB@AWS) provides access to Oracle Exadata infrastructure managed by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in AWS data centers. Oracle Exadata infrastructure is physically located in AWS data centers and provides low latency network connectivity to AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes service (Amazon EKS), running in the same Availability Zone. The application layer communicates with the database layer using Oracle’s SQL*Net protocol over TCP/IP over EC2 networks.
