Gulf Business Machines (GBM) says it launched the UAE’s first AI Lab built on Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA on Oct. 7. The lab is designed to help organizations across the Gulf Cooperation Council test AI systems before putting them into production.
GBM says the facility supports on-premises and hybrid AI use cases, with a focus on data residency, regulatory compliance, security, and low-latency processing. Those requirements matter to organizations that need to keep sensitive information under local control while developing AI applications.
The company says the underlying architecture can serve workloads from the data center to the edge. Cisco’s pre-validated, modular infrastructure combines high-performance computing and networking with NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, according to the announcement.
