Fuel cells will power 2.4 GW of Oracle Campus

oracle has redesigned the energy strategy for Project Jupiter, its massive AI data center campus in New Mexico, switching to fuel cells Flower energy to replace previously planned natural gas turbines and diesel generators.

The postponement of the Doña Ana County project was announced Monday by Oracle, Bloom Energy and the campus developer BorderPlex digital assetsand has an installed Bloom fuel cell capacity of up to 2.45 gigawatts (GW), configured as an on-site microgrid.

The notice eliminates a power approach that had drawn strong opposition from environmental groups and community members.
