Free classes help residents learn technology, streaming and Microsoft Office

The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will offer a slate of free technology classes this fall at its main library in New Philadelphia and its Bolivar Branch, covering topics ranging from streaming services and Gmail to MakerSpace equipment and Microsoft Office programs.

The workshops are designed for beginners and technology users looking to build new skills, according to a community announcement.

“Our upcoming programs give people a chance to get hands-on with technology in a fun, beginner-friendly way,” said Leigh Burnham, technology training coordinator.

Participants can learn about digital tools, phone functions, computer basics and MakerSpace equipment through a series of hands-on sessions scheduled from September through November.
