According to a report by The Information, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) plans not to launch any new graphics processing unit products this year. It was also noted that the release of the RTX 60 series gaming graphics cards will be postponed until next year.
The report indicates that NVIDIA has completed the design of the upgraded RTX 50 Super, but a shortage of memory chips has led the company to lower the production priority of the RTX 50 Super. This issue has also impacted the RTX 60 series, which was originally scheduled for mass production by the end of next year.
Another tech media outlet, Tom’s Hardware, reported that NVIDIA responded by stating strong demand for its GeForce RTX graphics cards amidst constrained memory supply. The company continues to ship all models of its GeForce products and is working closely with suppliers to maximize memory availability.
