Office Home & Student 2021 can remain installed on Windows while Word or Excel shows Unlicensed Product. The software is present, but Office cannot match it to a valid one-time license.
The same mismatch can remove the product from Services & subscriptions or make File > Account name Microsoft 365 or another edition. Reinstalling the same package cannot recover a license attached to another account, and a redeemed key cannot be redeemed again.

| Home & Student 2021 appears under Services & subscriptions, but Word is unlicensed | Use that same account in Office, then correct the installed license or repair the apps. |
| The product is absent, and you still have an unused 25-character key | Redeem… |
