Firmus Technologies has signed a deal worth around $660 million with one of the world’s largest technology companies to build artificial intelligence infrastructure in Australia and is planning an initial public offering this year.

Firmus last year teamed up with Nvidia and local data center provider CDC Data Centers to build so-called AI factories across Australia in a multi-year plan called Project Southgate that is expected to cost more than $70 billion by 2028.
