Officers are on the scene of a fatal two-vehicle collision on Oracle Road. (State Route 77 – SR-77) at milepost 96, near the entrance to the Biosphere 2 science campus, the Arizona Department of Public Safety says in a statement to KGUN 9.
This collision occurred around 5:15 a.m. and completely blocked the highway. The fatality was a single occupant in one of the vehicles; an occupant of the other vehicle involved was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to ADPS, there is currently no ETA for reopening. We will provide further information as it becomes available.
