Employee unions argue with the minister about the risk of AI to jobs

Employee unions have clashed with the Albanian government ahead of an important meeting. They disputed findings that AI does not lead to job losses and called for immediate regulation of the technology “before the horse bolts.”

The ACTU will meet Industrial Relations Minister Amanda Rishworth and business groups at the first ministerial meeting of the new AI forum on Wednesday to discuss a way forward to ensure laws are fit to deal with the technology.
