Dell Technologies has added PowerStore support for Nutanix Cloud Platform, available starting with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) 7.6. The integration is delivered through Dell Private Cloud, combining PowerStore all-flash storage with Nutanix Cloud Platform and AHV virtualization in a validated automated deployment model.
PowerStore is the second Dell external storage platform integrated with Nutanix Cloud Platform; PowerFlex was the first. This addition gives organizations deploying Nutanix another option for attaching enterprise storage while retaining Nutanix Prism as the central operational interface.
Dell Private Cloud provides the integration layer for the PowerStore and Nutanix configuration. It uses validated blueprints for AHV deployments, orchestrates full-stack lifecycle management through the Dell Automation Platform, and supplies system-level hardware support. Dell describes the coverage as spanning Day 0 through Day 2, with non-disruptive upgrades, meaning the configuration stays in a validated state throughout its life rather than only at install. Dell cites an Omdia Technical First Look concluding that the automated approach “reduces operational overhead while maintaining compliance with Dell’s tested and supported configurations, closing potential security gaps left open by solutions without this level of integration and lifecycle management support.”
