Australian biotech giant CSL is turning to Amazon’s cloud computing arm to speed up its drug research and clinical development work, the company said Tuesday.
The collaboration with Amazon Web Services will give CSL scientists tools to analyze complex scientific data and spot potential drug targets earlier in the discovery process. The goal is to compress development timelines and bring laboratory and computational work closer together, allowing experimental findings to feed into research models and decisions more quickly.
On the clinical side, CSL said it will use AWS’s cloud and AI capabilities to cut manual workloads in protocol drafting, data management, and regulatory submissions. The company added that it will maintain data governance, traceability, and inspection readiness throughout those processes.
