Creating sexually explicit deepfake AI images of real people without their consent will be banned in Queensland.
Attorney-General Deb Frecklington announced the plan for a new law in Parliament House on Sunday.
“This applies to the people whose images were used as a weapon against them, to the teachers who were subjected to vile cyberbullying and to the victims across Queensland who were told there was nothing that could be done,” she told reporters.
