Oracle is the fifth-largest cloud computing infrastructure company and its massive backlog is attracting attention.
Numerous technology companies, including every member of the “Magnificent Seven“have invested heavily artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years. However, investors tend to focus on the clearest leaders in the AI space, such as: Nvidia And Palantir.
So it may surprise some investors oracle (ORCL 3.88%) has emerged as a surprise candidate. Known in the past for its relational database products, the company has more recently leveraged its data center infrastructure to carve out a significant role in the AI sector. The question now is whether Oracle will emerge as a pioneer in the enterprise AI cloud business, or whether the company is simply enjoying a moment in the sun before AI competition heats up.
