NEW DELHI: Cisco‘s president and chief product officer, Jeetu Patel, has assigned Padmanabhan Krishnamurthy, 27, to refactor 98% of the company’s legacy code within 24 months, according to a Fortune report on Friday.
Patel stated that Krishnamurthy, co-founder of the real-time translation startup EzDubs acquired by Cisco in 2025, has been given “unlimited tokens” for the AI-driven code refactoring project. “I’ve given him unlimited tokens because he’s going to refactor code,” he told the publication.
The initiative aims to leverage young talent to challenge existing systems and inject fresh ideas into Cisco’s software development. Patel is actively seeking more young hires to foster innovation within the organisation.
