Cisco Systems CSCO, the networking, security and observability company, rose about 0.8% to $108.49 at 1.25pm ET on Oct. 1, as Bernstein initiated coverage with a Market Perform rating and a $110 price target. That leaves just 1.4% upside to the analyst’s target. The valuation picture adds another hurdle: shares sit 44.79% above the displayed GF Value estimate of $74.93.
The AI demand is substantial. According to Reuters’ reporting, Cisco booked $9.3 billion in hyperscaler AI infrastructure orders during fiscal 2026. Yet recognized AI infrastructure revenue accounted for roughly 6% of total revenue. That gap puts delivery in the spotlight. Orders show customers want the equipment; Cisco still has to turn those commitments into revenue and earnings.
For investors, the test is bigger than the AI order tally. Campus networking, security, collaboration and service-provider demand still matter heavily to Cisco’s results. AI gives the company a growth engine, but the rest of the business…
