A few years ago, my aunt Diana Bennett wrote an autobiography to tell the story of her exciting life: a successful artist, teacher, nonprofit executive, board member, and four husbands. It went so well that I encouraged my mother – her younger sister – to do the same. And that’s what she did when she gave copies to everyone for Christmas last year Brenda Bennett, My Colorful Life: a story of her grandparents and parents; horseback riding during my childhood in Toronto in the 1950s; While studying sociology at the University of Toronto in the 1960s, he was dragged from the steps of the US consulate during a protest against the Vietnam War; and in the ’70s and ’80s, he raised several families and a successful career as a community college professor.
