International Business Machines Corporation IBM has strengthened its decades-long partnership with Marist University through an Innovation Incubator focused on artificial intelligence (AI) research, enterprise computing and student career readiness. The program brings IBM’s technology and expertise into a broader range of academic and research activities at the university.
The Innovation Incubator will use the IBM z17 mainframe to support initial projects in AI, business, finance and civic engagement. Planned efforts include using autonomous AI agents in controlled marketing campaigns, exploring quantum optimization algorithms to analyze real-time financial data and improve portfolio allocations, and examining ways AI can improve polling methods, survey design and models of voter participation.
