oracle (NYSE:ORCL | ORCL price prediction) has rebounded significantly from its lows, but a debt load of over $124 billion, revenue concentration on a single customer, and a valuation that requires near-perfection make this an uncomfortable entry point for new buyers.

Oracle sells cloud infrastructure, database software and SaaS applications to companies in all major industries. When Demand for AI infrastructure exploded, Oracle had something hyperscalers desperately needed: data center capacity built and operated at scale. The company has aggressively embraced this identity, signing huge contracts and taking on tens of billions of dollars in debt to finance a construction offensive that is eating up almost all of the money it has generated.

The stock peaked at nearly $343 before a brutal decline wiped out more than half its value. A lawsuit filed by bondholders alleged that Oracle misled investors about its debt needs, lowered analysts’ price targets and that a hostile macroeconomic environment was the cause of the decline. A Q2…
