Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:AVGO, XETRA:1YD) has agreed to provide Anthropic (Unlisted (US):ANTHRO) with up to $42 billion in financing tied to its AI infrastructure buildout, according to the Claude developer’s IPO prospectus seen by Reuters.

The facility could cover roughly one-third of Anthropic‘s $125.2 billion five-year commitment for Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) compute, and the debt may be convertible into Anthropic shares, the filing shows.

Anthropic is also expected to become Broadcom’s largest compute customer in 2027, given its estimated spending on the chip designer’s technologies.

Beyond purchasing chips, Anthropic is relying on Broadcom for equipment leasing and financing, Reuters reported.
