“We got an exclusive look into Anthropic’s IPO prospectus and one thing that really jumped out at us was its relationship with Broadcom. Broadcom is playing a central role in Anthropic’s infrastructure buildout. They are acting as a compute supplier. They provide an equipment lease. And they also providing financing for Anthropic. In fact, we learned they’re providing up to $42 billion in financing to help pay for their five-year equipment lease of $125 billion. Anthropic is actually poised to be Broadcom’s largest customer this year as well and they flagged in the IPO prospectus that there is a potential conflict of interest. Should Broadcom change the pricing for their equipment or hardware, it could affect Anthropic’s ability to pay them back, affect Anthropic margins.
