Broadcom Stocks Rise Higher as Open Networking Targets AI Bottle

Broadcom, the semiconductor and infrastructure-software company AVGO, previewed its next AI networking showcase ahead of the October 12–15 Open Compute Project summit in San Jose, with shares at $363.38 on October 9, up roughly 0.9% from the previous close implied by Google Finance’s quote at 10:19 a.m. ET. The pitch goes beyond faster chips: Broadcom wants a bigger role in connecting the machines powering massive AI clusters.

The company’s lineup spans Tomahawk 6, Tomahawk Ultra and Jericho 4 switches, 800G and 400G network cards, PCIe components and co-packaged optics. Broadcom says its planned presentation will address networks connecting more than 100,000 accelerators, while more than 15 partners will demonstrate its technology. That breadth creates multiple ways to win business as AI infrastructure expands. The valuation snapshot puts shares 14.01% below the $422.56 GF Value™ estimate, suggesting potential upside if execution supports that estimate.
