Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) jumped about 5% on Wednesday and 3% on early Thursday after unveiling its Brocade X8 Directors and Brocade G820 128G Fibre Channel platforms, designed to support enterprise AI workloads.
The new Gen 8 portfolio includes quantum-resistant encryption and embedded SAN AI for automated infrastructure management. The Brocade X8 Directors can handle up to 384 ports at 128G, while the G820 switch offers 56 128G SFP+ ports in a compact 1U form factor, targeting high-performance data centers.
Several partners, including Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL), HPE (NYSE:HPE), IBM (NYSE:IBM), Lenovo (LNVGY), and NetApp (NTAP), issued supporting statements. Broadcom also launched the Thor Ultra 800G AI Ethernet NIC to boost connectivity for large AI workloads.
The company reported good top-line revenue growth and good margins, which made the company earn its presence in AI infrastructure.
