A representative for Brad Pitt is warning the public to ignore unsolicited DMs from supposed celebrities after a romance scammer impersonated the “Fight Club” actor with AI-generated selfies to dupe a French woman out of $850,000.
“It’s awful that scammers take advantage of fans’ strong connection with celebrities, but this is an important reminder to not respond to unsolicited online outreach, especially from actors who have no social media presence,” Pitt’s rep
