Boeing Vs. Nvidia: The Absolute Best Binary Trade for the Trump-Xi Summit is Clear

With the Trump-Xi summit approaching, Boeing and NVIDIA both carry massive China exposure but in completely opposite ways, and that difference points to only one name as a genuine binary trade on the outcome.

Boeing (NYSE: BA | BA Price Prediction) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) both filed quarterly reports ahead of the Trump-Xi summit with heavy China exposure. Boeing awaits aircraft orders Beijing can unlock. NVIDIA already stripped China data center compute from its forward outlook. That gap defines which name is a genuine binary trade into the summit.

Ortberg Steadies the Line, Huang Runs Out of Supply

Boeing’s Q2 2026 was a turnaround signal. Revenue hit $24.56B, up 8.0% YoY, deliveries reached 171, the highest quarterly total since 2018, and free cash flow swung to positive $631M. Core EPS still printed a loss of $0.76, missing consensus, and the VC-25B presidential jet took another $280M charge. CEO Kelly Ortberg said “the momentum that we’ve built in the first half of this year is setting us up for more dependable performance”. Backlog now sits at a record $715B.

NVIDIA delivered a different animal. Revenue of $96.22B more than doubled YoY, Data Center revenue reached $89.02B, up 117%, and non-GAAP EPS of $2.22 beat consensus for the fifth straight quarter.
