Blockmate Ventures Inc (TSX-V:MATE, OTCQB:MATEF, FRA:8MH) has agreed to acquire its first NVIDIA B200 AI compute node from Scannit Inc. for about US$635,000, marking its entry into the AI neocloud and GPU compute market.
The agreement gives Blockmate ownership of an eight-GPU node, with the price covering shipping, data-centre setup, installation, network connectivity and onboarding.
Delivery is expected in the first quarter of 2027, subject to vendor timing and NVIDIA allocation.
The deal moves the company from venture builder toward owner-operator of AI infrastructure. Blockmate will own the hardware, which will be installed in a US data centre, while Scannit will host, maintain and operate it and sell its compute capacity through GPU marketplaces, compute networks and direct customer contracts.
Blockmate will receive the majority of gross revenue over an initial 36-month management term. Scannit does not guarantee utilization, pricing or revenue.
Blockmate plans to use the node as a test deployment to gather operating data on demand, utilization, pricing, uptime and costs. Subject to results, financing and market conditions, it intends to evaluate larger multi-node deployments and future NVIDIA hardware.
