As the fourth-quarter earnings season draws to a close, it’s time to take stock of this quarter’s best and worst performers in the cloud monitoring industry, including Nutanix (NASDAQ:NTNX) and its peers.
Software is eating the world, increasing organizations’ dependence on digital-only solutions. As more workloads and applications move to the cloud, the reliability of the underlying cloud infrastructure becomes increasingly critical and complex. To solve this challenge, companies and their engineering teams have turned to a variety of cloud monitoring tools that give them visibility to troubleshoot issues in real time.
All four cloud monitoring stocks we track reported a mixed fourth quarter. As a group, revenue beat analyst consensus estimates by 2.2%, while next quarter’s revenue guidance was in line.
Amid this news, the companies’ stock prices have gone through a rough patch. On average, they are down 6.9% since the last earnings results.
