The U.S. stock market is reeling in choppy trading on Tuesday as companies talk about how discouraged their customers are feeling and some technology stocks continue to feel the downside of the artificial intelligence boom.
The S&P 500 was virtually unchanged after previously swinging between a small gain and a loss of nearly 1 percent. The Dow Jones rose 28 points, or 0.1 percent, at 11:45 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq Composite was 0.1 percent lower.
The Australian stock market is set to rise, with futures at 4:59 a.m. AEDT pointing to a gain of 25 points, or 0.3 percent, at the open. The ASX rose 0.2 per cent on Tuesday. The Australian dollar was trading at $70.68 at 5:14 a.m. AEDT. Reporting…
