It seems that many of us have fallen into a pattern of passive doom – thinking, Surely collective disbelief will stop progress towards global war! As we hold on to this hope, we should look beyond the horizon of current destruction and reflect on the future foretold by the First AI War. What precedents will be set for future AI wars with their even more destructive and precise weapons?
There is a lot that we cannot predict. Some leaders appear to place great value on unpredictability. We cannot say which geopolitical pacts will frame the AI wars of the 2050s. This very human uncertainty is offset by the predictable trend of AIs taking over tasks once reserved for humans. Expected layoffs include human warriors and generals.
