Apple has unveiled a series of AI upgrades for Siri, including better voice recognition and a “standalone app,” introducing a long-awaited overhaul of its AI assistant that the iPhone maker has been working to improve for two years.
Apple announced the overhaul, called Siri AI, at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
Siri AI is capable of analyzing what is displayed on the device screen and has what Apple calls “extensive world knowledge” that allows it to search the Internet for more information, Apple said.
