Apple investors reacted cautiously to the next generation of its artificial intelligence platform, which is crucial for the company to catch up with its Silicon Valley rivals in a critical market.
The new Apple Intelligence system – based on Google technology – was unveiled on Monday during a keynote presentation at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Software chief Craig Federighi called the update, which includes a revamped digital assistant Siri, a significant improvement over the company’s current software.
Siri is “smarter, more knowledgeable and more powerful,” Federighi said.
