Anthropic pits bot against bot in AI cyberwar with a powerful new model

Artificial intelligence giant Anthropic is introducing an AI model that it says is so powerful in its cybersecurity capabilities that it can only be used by specialists in the industry, and has pulled together big-name competitors and customers into an alliance to pit good bots against bad ones.

News of Anthropic’s new model – called Claude Mythos Preview – was leaked in late March via a botch on Anthropic’s website, sending cybersecurity stocks like CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler plummeting, echoing the SaaSpocalypse sparked by Claude Cowork’s launch in March.
