Anthropic is pushing for an AI break and sees the risk of a loss of control

Its research arm, the Anthropic Institute, plans to study systems needed to support a slowdown and will bring together policymakers, researchers, civil society groups and rival AI firms in the coming months to discuss dealing with risks such as recursive self-improvement.
