Anthropic PBC plans to spend $50 billion ($76 billion) to build custom data centers for artificial intelligence work in several U.S. locations, including Texas and New York. This is the latest expensive commitment to infrastructure to support the AI boom.
The new websites Anthropic is developing with British company Fluidstack will go live during 2026, the company said in a statement. The project marks the first major data center expansion that the AI company has acquired from Alphabet directly, rather than through cloud computing partners such as Amazon and Google.
