May 2026 Steam Hardware Survey Reveals RX 9070 XT With 1.33% Share While RX 9060 XT Appears With 0.72% Share After Missing For a Whole Year

From the time of the launch of RDNA 4 GPUs, most RX 9000 series GPUs never made it to the Steam Hardware Survey. Despite seeing some of the RDNA 4 GPUs dominate the charts on major retailers, they remained absent from the Steam database, while the GeForce RTX 50 series continued to climb up with its offerings. Mid-range GPUs such as the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Ti continue to see a rise in GPU share almost every month, while most RX 9000 GPUs did not even appear once.

Occasionally, we saw the Radeon RX 9070 with a small share on Steam, but the more popular RX 9070 XT variant always remained missing. However, the GPU is finally on the charts, and it’s not just with a sub-1% share as one would assume; it has already exceeded 1% share on its first appearance. As per the May 2026 Steam Hardware Survey, the flagship RDNA 4 GPU, aka Radeon RX 9070 XT, has appeared with a good 1.33% share.

It’s a sudden appearance after missing the surveys for nearly one year. In May, however, the GPU jumped to a 1.33% share unexpectedly, making it more popular than many RTX 30 and RTX 40 series cards.
