Amazon Stock Slips as Bedrock Expands Model Choice

Amazon AMZN, the commerce and cloud company, highlighted a fresh batch of AI tools in its September 28 AWS roundup. Shares fell about 0.28% to $245.46 at 10.05am EST time on Tuesday morning trading. The launches give developers more ways to run AI on AWS, but investors are still waiting to see how much revenue that activity brings in.

Bedrock added OpenAI’s GPT-6 Sol and Luna alongside Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5. AWS also introduced CloudWatch Omni to monitor applications and AI agents, while its SageMaker HyperPod gateway can cut first-token latency by up to 82% in the mixed-hardware and bursty scenarios AWS tested. More choice and faster responses make AWS a stronger place to build. They do not, on their own, settle the revenue question.
