Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) has fallen to the cheapest valuation in its history as a publicly traded company, even as investors pile into rivals positioned to profit from the artificial intelligence boom. The e-commerce and cloud computing giant recently traded near $251, down about 2.4% over the past month. At roughly 20 times trailing earnings, that marks the lowest multiple the stock has ever commanded, according to data from TrendSpider.
The contrast with other AI-focused technology names is stark. Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) have both touched record highs in recent weeks. Meta Platforms Inc. (META) has surged 23% on enthusiasm over its AI agent initiatives, while Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) have posted more modest gains over the same stretch.
Among the so-called Magnificent Seven, only Alphabet trades at a lower trailing earnings multiple, at 17.7 times forward earnings, per Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.
