Amazon is increasing the data center boom to local sales of almost $12 billion

The global tsunami of investment in artificial intelligence gave Amazon nearly $12 billion in revenue in Australia last year, as the e-commerce, cloud computing and streaming giant benefited from a huge surge in demand for its data centers.

Accounts filed with Australia’s corporate regulator show Amazon’s total revenue rose nearly 50 percent to $11.9 billion in calendar year 2025, up from $8 billion the previous year.
