Amazon has become the king of data centers in Mississippi again.
The technology company is announcing another $12 billion investment in the state of Mississippi on Thursday, April 9 during a press conference at 1218 West County Line Road in Ridgeland, which is adjacent to one location where Amazon Web Services is already investing $10 billion for a data center campus.
The vast majority of the $12 billion investment will be at the site in Madison County, while another near $1 billion will be for a data center location in Clinton.
Add together the original investment, along with AWS’s second announced data center campus in Mississippi in December in what will be a $3 billion investment in Warren County, Amazon now mas a total of $25 billion committed to be invested in the data center economy in Mississippi.
