Alibaba is launching a new AI-focused group of companies

Alibaba Group (NYSE:BABA) has launched a new business group dedicated to artificial intelligence, the company said Monday, to accelerate the rollout of its Qwen AI models and strengthen the integration of its consumer and enterprise products.

According to a press release from the company, the new entity, called the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) Business Group, will be directly led by Alibaba CEO Eddie Wu.

ATH will bring together multiple AI teams, including Tongyi Laboratory, which develops multimodal foundational models; the MaaS Business Line, which builds the technical AI infrastructure; the Qwen Business Unit, responsible for a personal AI assistant; the newly formed Wukong Business Unit, focused on an AI-native work platform for enterprises; and the AI ​​Innovation Business Unit, which explores new AI applications.
