AI training for one million Australians – Manufacturers’ Monthly

More than a million Australians will have access to free artificial intelligence (AI) training under a new federal government initiative designed to help workers and small businesses adapt to the rapidly changing digital workplace.

The program, delivered by the National AI Center (NAIC) in collaboration with TAFE NSW’s Institute of Applied Technology – Digital (IATD), will deliver fully subsidized online microskills courses based on the government’s AI adoption guidance published in October.

It builds on last year’s AI introductory course and places great emphasis on the responsible and ethical use of AI.

The updated training provides practical, modular learning to help Australians confidently apply AI in real-world environments. The initiative is part of the government’s broader National AI Plan, which sets out measures to boost AI adoption and ensure its benefits are shared across society.
