We cannot say that we have not been warned by educators, academics and students about the increasing use of artificial intelligence in educational institutions. In academic Kylie Moore-Gilbert’s article (“I’m an academic but I told my stepdaughter to think twice about going to university”, 27/05), she not only expressed her concerns about the devaluation of qualifications, but she also came out strongly against students being given cognitive relief through the use of AI instead of using their brains.
