New technologies inevitably spark discussions about the loss of certain jobs due to progress, but we have seen time and time again that America and its people benefit in the long term from technological progress in large numbers.
Artificial intelligence is the latest fear topic.
There are all sorts of well-meaning concerns surrounding the introduction of artificial intelligence. Things like how AI might transform society, human relationships, and the rest of America’s social landscape are things that concern me.
However, some are against technological progress simply because they are against it. Some of our elected officials have even floated the idea that the government should regulate industry to prevent technological advances from destroying jobs. You hear this argument again and again when it comes to autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence.
