Like hundreds of thousands of other young Australians, I am currently looking for a job. I have reluctantly come to terms with the dystopian reality in which my cover letter and resume are evaluated by artificial intelligence rather than a human. I dutifully made my resume user-friendly using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), carefully filled my cover letter with repetitive keywords from job descriptions, and painstakingly wrote and rewrote my entire professional history in various online portals.
