We knew it was coming for a while now. While the Nvidia Control Panel had enjoyed years of giving gamers driver updates and customisation over how the GPU works, we saw the first glimpses of the Nvidia App. It was pitched as the successor to the Control Panel, and while it wasn’t quite ready to supercede it on release, Nvidia slowly began moving features over to the App.
Now, it seems that the Nvidia App is fit for purpose. The company has announced that the Nvidia Control Panel is no longer being updated, although people can still keep it around if they really want.
